# Bambu Lab PLA Aero Gray with Spool (1kg)

**Type:** Product page · **SKU:** CE11011 · **Brand:** [Bambu Lab](https://core-electronics.com.au/brands/bambu-lab-australia)
**Page:** https://core-electronics.com.au/bambu-lab-pla-aero-gray-filament-with-spool-1kg.html ([markdown](https://core-electronics.com.au/bambu-lab-pla-aero-gray-filament-with-spool-1kg.html.md))

Lightweight foaming filament built for flight. PLA Aero prints as light as around half the weight of standard PLA, making it the go-to choice for RC planes, drones, gliders and aerodynamic models where every gram counts.

## Pricing

- **Price:** $67.99 (inc GST) — $61.81 AUD, exc GST

## Availability & dispatch

- Out of stock — the product page offers email notification when it returns.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE11011:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE11011:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

PLA Aero is a specialty foaming filament that expands at high printing temperatures to create fine internal voids, dramatically reducing the weight of your prints without a major sacrifice in toughness. Where standard PLA is chosen for appearance and everyday printing, Aero is engineered for one job above all: strong, stiff parts that weigh as little as possible.

This makes it a natural fit for radio-controlled aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), gliders, aerodynamic test models and any project where reducing mass improves flight time, agility or efficiency. Its matte surface also takes paint and dye far better than glossy PLA, so finished models are easy to colour and detail. Note that Aero is a more demanding material than standard PLA - it is highly sensitive to moisture and benefits from careful drying and parameter tuning to print at its best.

### Features

- **Light as a feather - by Design:** PLA Aero foams during printing to create a low-density structure, producing parts as light as around half the weight of PLA Basic at the same volume - ideal for flight and any weight-critical build.
- **Controllable Model Density:** Dial in the weight-to-strength balance you need. Raising the printing temperature and lowering the flow rate increases foaming and reduces density, giving you fine control over the finished part.
- **Tough Matte Finish, Easy to Colour:** Tougher and more impact-resistant than other PLA blends, with a soft matte surface that accepts paint and dye beautifully for clean, professional-looking models.
- **Automatic Parameter Syncing (AMS):** A built-in RFID tag communicates directly with the Bambu Lab AMS (Automatic Material System), automatically loading the correct material type and profile. Load and print, with no tedious manual setup.
