## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE07436:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE07436:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

Argon ONE M.2 Expansion Board extends support for M.2 SATA SSDs on your [Argon One Case](https://core-electronics.com.au/argon-one-v2-raspberry-pi-4-case.html) (Both V1 and V2) to maximize the true potential speeds of your [Raspberry Pi 4](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-4-model-b-4gb.html). You will now be able to boot via an M.2 SATA SSD for faster boot times and larger storage capacity compared to the traditional microSD Card.

To use it, simply replace the bottom of the Argon ONE Case with the expansion board, and the case can now use SSDs. It is recommended to use Raspberry Pi 4 Cases though due to the USB 3.0 ports the boards provide.

Argon ONE M.2 is UASP Supported for the Raspberry Pi 4 which means you can maximize the transfer speeds of your M.2 SSD.

This expansion board supports Key-B and Key B&M drives so it only works with [SATA M.2 SSDs like the ones we stock](https://core-electronics.com.au/western-digital-green-m-2-sata-ssd-240gb.html). NVME Drives are keyed differently to show that they require a PCIe interface, so they won't work with this board!

It should also be noted that you shouldn't use an M.2 SSD with a higher power rating than around 5.5W.

If you are new to installing M.2 drives check the SSD [looks like this](https://core-electronics.com.au/attachments/uploads/m-2-seated.jpg) when fitted.
