# Argon ONE M.2 Case for the Raspberry Pi 4

**Type:** Product page · **SKU:** CE07434 · **Brand:** [Argon40](https://core-electronics.com.au/brands/argon40-australia)
**Page:** https://core-electronics.com.au/argon-one-m-2-case.html ([markdown](https://core-electronics.com.au/argon-one-m-2-case.html.md))

The NEW Argon ONE case ups the ante with extended support for M.2 SATA SSD's whilst keeping all the things you loved. Push the limits and realize your Pi's true potential. Did we mention it now has full-sized HDMI connectors?

> ⚠ Note: If silent operation is important for your RPi then disable the fan. This case has excellent passive cooling (possibly the best). Otherwise, configure the fan to only turn on at 75-80ºC to avoid unnecessary usage/wear. Settings below this may lead to the fan making noises as it wears faster over time.

## Pricing

- **Price:** $70.50 (inc GST) — $64.09 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 6+ $61.53 (exc GST) · 12+ $59.60 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 32 today, and up to 300 more in 21–30 days.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE07434:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE07434:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The Argon ONE M.2 Case ups the ante by providing two full-sized HDMI ports, Power Management Modes that allow for automatic booting, Built-in IR support (NEC Standard) with streamlined options for configuration and Integrated M.2 SATA SSD support through the USB 3 Ports of the [Raspberry Pi 4](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-4-model-b-4gb.html).

We recommend using Raspbian OS for full support of features. As with all Raspberry Pi hardware, third-party operating systems may not fully support all the features of this case or the Raspberry Pi itself.

If you're looking to use this case with [LibreElec consider a pre-flashed card](https://core-electronics.com.au/libreelec-preloaded-16gb-microsd-card-for-raspberry-pi-4.html) or check out the [installation instructions](https://core-electronics.com.au/attachments/uploads/argon-libreelec-instructions.pdf)([download in the guide](https://core-electronics.com.au/attachments/localcontent/ArgonRemote_257386d5161.zip)).

Argon ONE M.2 Case extended support for M.2 SATA SSDs allows you to maximize the true potential speeds of your Raspberry Pi 4. You will now be able to boot via an M.2 SATA SSD for faster boot times and larger storage capacity compared to the traditional microSD Card.

Argon ONE M.2 is UASP Supported for the Raspberry Pi 4 which means you can maximize the transfer speeds of your M.2 SATA Drive.

Argon ONE M.2 is compatible for use with the [Argon IR Remote for Argon ONE V2 and M.2.](https://core-electronics.com.au/argon-ir-remote-for-argon-one-v2-and-m-2-cases.html)

Already got an Argon ONE case? You can upgrade it into an M.2 case with the [Argon ONE M.2 Expansion Board](https://core-electronics.com.au/argon-one-m-2-expansion-board.html).

The Argon ONE M.2 case supports Key-B and Key B&M drives so it only works with [SATA M.2 SSDs like the ones we stock](https://core-electronics.com.au/western-digital-green-m-2-sata-ssd-240gb.html). NVME Drives are keyed differently to show that they require a PCIe interface, so they won't work with this case!

It should also be noted that you shouldn't use an M.2 SSD with a higher power rating than around 5.5W.

If you are new to installing M.2 drives check the SSD [looks like this](https://core-electronics.com.au/attachments/uploads/m-2-seated.jpg) when fitted.
