The ADC-DAC Pi Zero is a 2 channel 12 bit analogue to digital converter and 2 channel 12 bit digital to analogue converter designed to work with the Raspberry Pi. Designed for the same footprint as the Raspberry Pi Zero the ADC-DAC Pi Zero is also compatible with full size Raspberry Pi models.

## Pricing

- **Price:** $28.80 (inc GST) — $26.18 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 10+ $25.14 (exc GST) · 25+ $24.35 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 1 today; more stock is typically available with a 10–14 day lead time.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE07488:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE07488:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The ADC-DAC Pi Zero is a 2 channel 12 bit analogue to digital converter and 2 channel 12 bit digital to analogue converter designed to work with the Raspberry Pi. Designed for the same footprint as the Raspberry Pi Zero the ADC-DAC Pi Zero is also compatible with full size Raspberry Pi models.

The ADC-DAC Pi Zero is based on the Microchip MCP3202 A/D converter containing 2 analogue inputs with 12 bit resolution with a Microchip MCP4822 dual channel 12-bit DAC with internal voltage reference.

Power to the board is provided through the host Raspberry Pi using the GPIO port. Only one ADC-DAC Pi Zero can be used on a Raspberry Pi but the extended pins on the GPIO connector allow you to stack the ADC-DAC Pi Zero along with other expansion boards. Mounting holes on the board can be used to securely fit the board on your Raspberry Pi. As the ADC-DAC Pi Zero uses the same footprint as the Raspberry Pi Zero only two of the mounting holes can be used on the larger Raspberry Pi models.

**Features**

- The A/D and D/A converters communicate with the Raspberry Pi through the SPI interface.
- Max ADC Sample Rate using Python library on a Pi 4: 11,000 samples per second.
- Max ADC Sample Rate using C library on a Pi 4: 17,500 samples per second.
- Max ADC Sample Rate using C++ library on a Pi 4: 17,500 samples per second.
- Max ADC Sample Rate (based on MCP3202 datasheet): 50,000 sps at 2.7V. 100,000 sps at 5V. ADC-DAC Pi operates at 3.3V on Raspberry Pi.
- The ADCDAC Pi Zero is compatible with all Raspberry Pi models from the A+ and B+ onwards.
