## Pricing

- **Price:** $16.15 (inc GST) — $14.68 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 10+ $14.25 (exc GST) · 50+ $13.95 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- Out of stock — the product page offers email notification when it returns.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA1989:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA1989:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The Raspberry Pi A+/B+/Pi 2/Pi 3/Zero has landed on the Maker World like a 40-GPIO pinned, quad-USB ported, credit card sized bomb of DIY joy. And while you can use most of Adafruit's great Model B accessories by hooking up Adafruit's [downgrade cable,](https://core-electronics.com.au/downgrade-gpio-ribbon-cable-for-raspberry-pi-model-b-40p-to-26p.html) its probably a good time to upgrade your set up and accessorize using all of the Pi's 40 pins.

That's why Adafruit now carry the **Adafruit Pi T-Cobbler Plus Kit - Breakout + Cable for Raspberry Pi.** This Cobbler is in a fancy T-shape, which is not as compact, but is a little easier to read the labels. [We also have the more compact original Cobbler.](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-pi-cobbler-plus-kit-breakout-cable-for-raspberry-pi-b.html)

**[We also carry a Pi T-Cobbler for Raspberry Pi that does not require soldering!](https://core-electronics.com.au/assembled-pi-t-cobbler-plus-gpio-breakout-for-raspberry-pi-b.html)**

The T-Cobbler Plus is an add on prototyping board from Adafruit specifically designed for the newer Raspberry Pi computers with a 2x20 connector, that can break out all those tasty power, GPIO, I2C and SPI pins from the 40-pin header onto a solderless breadboard. This set will make "cobbling together" prototypes with the Pi super easy.

The Pi T-Cobbler Plus kit comes with a [40 pin ribbon cable](https://core-electronics.com.au/gpio-ribbon-cable-for-raspberry-pi-model-b-40-pins.html), a T-cobbler PCB, a 40-pin GPIO socket, and some male header strips.

Once soldered, you can plug the 40-pin GPIO cable between the Pi computer and the T-Cobbler breakout. The T-Cobbler can plug into any [solderless breadboard](https://core-electronics.com.au/full-sized-breadboard.html) (or even a prototyping board like the [PermaProto](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-perma-proto-super-pack.html)). The T-Cobbler PCB has all the pins labeled nicely so you can go forth and build circuits without keeping a pin-out printout at your desk. We think this will make it more fun to expand the Pi and build custom circuitry with it.

**Designed for use with any 2x20 connector-style Raspberry Pi and requires some soldering!**

The Raspberry Pi, [solderless breadboard](https://core-electronics.com.au/full-sized-breadboard.html), [breadboarding wires](https://core-electronics.com.au/breadboarding-wire-bundle.html), cables, components, power supply, etc are not included! we do stock many of those items in the shop, so check those out as well!
