## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA5869:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA5869:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

This **RGBW NeoPixel strip** comes in a **Neon-like Silicone Tubing,** combining the best of "Addressable NeoPixels" and "Ruggedized LED Neon" for a great looking, high-density, easily programmable, and very durable light strip. It has a diffused *look* like neon but without needing expensive transformers, glass tubing, inert gasses, or a Las Vegas casino license.

It's flexible and bendy with a solid chunk of translucent silicone rubber as a diffuser; the diffuser is rounded, and They also have a similar NeoPixel Neon LED strip with a flat diffuser. In particular, what Adafruit like about this one is it's 144 LEDs/meter and can be driven from 5V power.

The silicone makes for a strong, durable weather-proof casing. While not guaranteed for dunking underwater or long-term outdoor exposure, they're durable enough for projects that survive the outdoors, like cosplay, bike lighting, or festival decorations. You can cut this stuff with wire cutters if you want to shorten it, but you cannot join the pieces together again afterward.

You get a 1-meter-long tube with two JST SM 2-pin connectors on either end and two power wires in red and black. Provide 5V on the power pins, and provide your standard issue NeoPixel (WS281x) data on the white pin. There are 144 NeoPixel-compatible LEDs inside. Don't forget to share the ground pin between the 5V power supply and your microcontroller. Boom - you're glowin' in style.

Don't forget to set your NeoPixel driver for **RGBW** mode, which is not usually the default. The 4th channel is connected to the 3000K white LED element.

We also carry a [Cool White version](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-neon-like-neopixel-strip-rgbw-cool-white-144-ledm-5v-1-meter.html).

**Adafruit's detailed NeoPixel Uberguide has everything you need to use NeoPixels in any shape and size. Including ready-to-go library & example code for Arduino, CircuitPython, and Raspberry Pi**
