# Adafruit AHT20 - Temperature & Humidity Sensor Breakout Board - STEMMA QT / Qwiic

**Type:** Product page · **SKU:** ADA4566 · **Brand:** [Adafruit](https://core-electronics.com.au/brands/adafruit-australia)
**Page:** https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-aht20-temperature-humidity-sensor-breakout-board-stemma-qt-qwiic.html ([markdown](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-aht20-temperature-humidity-sensor-breakout-board-stemma-qt-qwiic.html.md))

The AHT20 is a nice but inexpensive temperature and humidity sensor from the same folks that brought Adafruit the DHT22. You can take sensor readings as often as you like, and it uses standard I2C so its super easy to use with any Arduino or Linux/Raspberry Pi board.

## Pricing

- **Price:** $8.85 (inc GST) — $8.05 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 10+ $7.80 (exc GST) · 50+ $7.65 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- In stock, ships same business day if ordered before 2PM (Australia/Sydney).
- We can dispatch 2 today, and up to 500 more in 8–12 days.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA4566:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA4566:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The AHT20 is a nice but inexpensive temperature and humidity sensor [from the same folks that brought Adafruit the DHT22](https://core-electronics.com.au/dht22-temperature-humidity-sensor-extras.html). You can take sensor readings as often as you like, and it uses standard I2C so its super easy to use with any Arduino or Linux/Raspberry Pi board.

This sensor has a typical accuracy of +- 2% relative humidity, and +-0.3 °C at 20-80% RH and 20-60 °C. There is only one I2C address so it's not a good option when you need multiple humidity sensors.

As with all Adafruit breakouts, Adafruit have done the work to make this handy temperature-and-humidity super easy to use. Adafruit have put it on a breakout board with the required support circuitry and connectors to make it easy to work with and is now a trend Adafruit have added [SparkFun Qwiic](https://core-electronics.com.au/catalogsearch/result/?q=qwiic) compatible [**STEMMA QT**](https://learn.adafruit.com/introducing-adafruit-stemma-qt) JST SH connectors that allow you to get going **without needing to solder.** Just use a [STEMMA QT adapter cable](https://core-electronics.com.au/jst-sh-4-pin-to-premium-male-headers-cable-qwiic-compatible-150mm-long.html), plug it into your favorite microcontroller or Blinka supported SBC and you're ready to rock! [QT Cable is not included, but Adafruit have a variety in the shop](https://core-electronics.com.au/search?q=stemma+qt+cable).
