## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=ADA4732:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/ADA4732:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

Winter time can be rough in the city. The sky is gray. The weather is unpredictable. So slough off those seasonal blues with some Times Square razzle dazzle from this sweet, ultra-high-density **64x64 RGB LED Matrix**. These panels are typically used to make video walls. Here in New York Adafruit see them on the sides of buses and on top of taxi cabs displaying animations or video advertisements. Adafruit thought they looked really cool, so they picked up a few boxes of them from a factory. They have **4,096** bright RGB LEDs arranged in a 64x64 grid at a **3mm pitch**.

**WARNING! These 64-pixel tall matrices use a non-standard 5-address multiplexing system!**

Many add-ons or drivers use only a 4-address (ABCD) setup. You *can* use these matricies with our **[RGB Matrix Bonnet for Raspberry Pi](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-rgb-matrix-bonnet-for-raspberry-pi.html)**, **[RGB Matrix HAT](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-rgb-matrix-hat-rtc-for-raspberry-pi-mini-kit.html)** (you'll need to connect a solder jumper) or **[Matrix Portal](https://core-electronics.com.au/adafruit-matrix-portal-circuitpython-powered-internet-display.html)** (ditto, jumper required). Other libraries such as Adafruit's Arduino shield with Adafruit library or Adafruit's HDMI driver boards **don't** support 5-address multiplexing!

The [SmartLED Shield](https://core-electronics.com.au/smartmatrix-shield-for-teensy-3-1.html) in combination with the [Teensy 3.5/3.6](https://core-electronics.com.au/teensy-3-6-without-headers.html) has the hardware for driving these 5-address panels, and enough RAM to refresh the 4096 pixels, **however the power plug must be manually soldered/adapted because the shield overlaps it.**

**Full Kit Contents:**

- 64x64 RGB panel
- IDC ribbon cable (~16cm)
- power cable (~50cm)

There may be slight variations between each product based on what supplier Adafruit use, but the overall shape/use/functionality is identical.

**Note:** This **does not** include [4 mounting screws and mini-magnets, however we do have them available separate here](https://core-electronics.com.au/mini-magnet-feet-for-rgb-led-matrices-pack-of-4.html)!
