## Description

This 5-metre roll has 60 LEDs per metre on a black coloured strip.

This is a roll of addressable (WS2812B) RGB LEDs. Each LED has a built-in controller chip which allows you to daisy-chain the LEDs and control them individually - all from a single GPIO! The constant-current driver in each LED ensures that colour remains consistent, even if supply-voltage varies slightly from the optimal 5V. The LEDs are factory-calibrated to ensure you have consistent colours all the way along your strip.
The strip is weather-sealed in a flexible plastic jacket (easily removed, if desired) and terminated at each end with a 3-pin plug, and two additional power leads if high current is required.

Long strips can require a lot of current! Make sure you're using a power supply that is capable of running your project. We've listed the maximum current that these LEDs consume (full-brightness white) but for a typical, colourful display the current required is usually a lot lower. If you decide to go with a smaller power supply, experiment with the length of strip you need to find out its true current requirements. If you're unsure, we have a [medium](https://core-electronics.com.au/5v-dc-4a-fixed-2-1mm-tip-appliance-plugpack-47354.html) and [high-current supply](https://core-electronics.com.au/mean-well-150w-5vdc-26a-switching-power-supply.html) available.

For those of you who are looking to plug multiple of these strips together, we have these [3-pin Pigtail Connectors](https://core-electronics.com.au/led-strip-pigtail-connector-3-pin.html).
