## Pricing

- **Price:** $90.80 (inc GST) — $82.55 AUD, exc GST
- **Quantity discounts:** 8+ $80.89 (exc GST)

## Availability & dispatch

- Out of stock — the product page offers email notification when it returns.

## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE10308:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE10308:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

Turn a Raspberry Pi 5 into a compact four-drive storage server. This expansion board connects to the Pi 5's PCIe port and splits it into four M.2 NVMe SSD slots, giving you terabytes of fast, solid-state storage without a tangle of USB enclosures.

Powering one NVMe drive from a Pi 5 is easy; powering four is not. The N16 solves this with its own USB-C Power Delivery input that accepts 9 V to 20 V and converts it to a stable 5.1 V / 5 A output. The supplied USB-C cable then carries that power to the Raspberry Pi 5, so one power supply runs the Pi and all four drives together.

All four slots take M-Key NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths, so you can mix whatever drives you have. The four drives share the Pi 5's single PCIe lane, so this board is best for large capacity and network storage rather than top speed from each drive. It's well suited to Samba or NFS file shares, home NAS builds, and software RAID 0 or RAID 5 arrays using mdadm.

Setup is simple: connect the PCIe ribbon cable, enable PCIe in `/boot/firmware/config.txt`, then partition and mount your drives. 52Pi's wiki walks through each step, including the RAID setup.

### Features

- Expands storage to four M.2 NVMe SSDs on a single Raspberry Pi 5, enough capacity for a self-contained NAS
- Runs the Pi and all four drives from one supply, thanks to the onboard 9–20 V USB-C PD input with a regulated 5.1 V / 5 A output to the Pi
- Automatically reads your power supply's PD profiles. A 65 W PD supply is recommended for a full set of drives
- Fits nearly any M.2 NVMe drive, with mounting positions for 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 SSDs
- Shows each drive's activity at a glance with four per-slot activity LEDs
- Ready for Samba file servers and software RAID (0 and 5), with step-by-step guides on the 52Pi wiki
