Get your Pi running ~10 degrees cooler by installing these three heat sinks. This small modification/upgrade will have your Pi:

  • Run Cooler
  • More Efficient
  • Last Longer

Installation

Each heat sink will come with some adhesive, simply peel back the tape on the flat side of the heat sink and apply it to the Raspberry Pi ICs. If you need more help with the how and why of cooling, we've written this Cooling the Raspberry Pi guide.

Technical Information

Each pack comes with three aluminium heat sinks:

  • 1 x Large - 15mm x 15mm x 5mm
  • 2 x Small - 9mm x 9mm x 5mm

The low profile (~5mm) of each of these heat sinks means they fit into most of our Pi 3 Cases. Cool!

    Hi all,
I just wanted to let people know that i can't praise the team at CORE ELECTRONICS enough when it comes to customer satisfaction and supplying the correct parts ordered at my first order every time,
I enjoy shopping for my project components from CORE ELECTRONICS as i know i will get quality components every time at an excellent price.
I recently purchased along with many other components from CORE 4 quality aluminium heat sink kits for my small (for now) collection of Raspberry Pi 3 B+ units.
These heat sinks fit superbly. Once there on they are on so make sure you line them up well.
The 3 heat sinks coupled with the small fan also available and mounting case allow the Pi to keep it's IC's
nice and cool will driving them hard.
Want quality products at an excellent price and EXCEPTIONAL customer service, then shop with
CORE ELECTRONICS, you won't be disappointed.
    Regards

I have written already a review for the RPi 3 B+ elsewhere. In that review, I decided to order this heatsink kit because my programs may be computationally intensive because I will be experimenting with audio, video and number crunching. As such the SOC may also be heating. See my other reviews on the heatsink kit for the RPI B+ and the case for the RPI 3+ B.

I, also, like the copper version for the APU, which is available from Core (https://core-electronics.com.au/self-adhesive-pure-copper-heatsink-for-raspberry-pi.html) and also in a set of 2 (https://core-electronics.com.au/heatsink-kit-for-raspberry-pi-b.html).

On Pi3 B V2 the large and small heat-sinks fit on top of board & fit ok; but remaining heat-sink is too small and deep to fit the chip on the underside of the board (others use a shallow copper heat-sink for this chip). (Posted on 21/12/2017)

No instructions come with the heatsinks, so I was unsure if the chips had to be cleaned with alcohol or anything before application. In the end, I just took a chance and stuck them on.
