## Restrictions

**For use in Australia**

- Operate only in bands and with settings that are permitted for your location and application. Check this product’s supported frequencies in the description/specs.
- If you intend to operate outside shared/licence‑exempt conditions (e.g. in other bands, at higher power, with high‑gain antennas, or extended duty cycles), you must have the appropriate authorisation.

**For use in other regions**

- Follow the spectrum rules for your country/region and select frequencies and settings accordingly.

A declaration of use will need to be submitted during checkout.

## Description

The microwave radar sensor is designed for distance detection through radio waves, offering a compact, lightweight, and wide-ranging detection solution compared to other sensors. It excels in harsh environments and can penetrate non-metallic materials, dust, smoke, and fog. This sensor can simultaneously detect multiple targets using the K-band millimeter wave spectrum, with separate antennas for transmitting and receiving signals. It supports Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) modulation, and all signal processing is integrated within the device, enabling distance measurement retrieval through an Asynchronous Serial Interface (ASI).

For specialized applications involving multiple targets or unique conditions, the sensor's working mode can be adjusted to process distance spectral information. It employs ASI communication with a 57600 bps baud rate and 3.3V TTL logic level, facilitating direct interaction with upper computers or other microcontroller units (MCUs) and significantly reducing development time. Compatible with controllers like Arduino, this sensor can be used for practical applications such as car reverse backup systems, automatic door openers, UAVs, passenger flow detection, and collision prevention devices.
