## Description

####  Introduction 

**This module can boost a single-cell 18650 lithium battery from 3.7V to 5V.**

It is equipped with full protection circuit: overcharge, over-discharge, current limit, over temperature, and short circuit, which can effectively extend its service life and ensure the safety of using.

These modules are able to charge and discharge at the same time. When connected to an external 5V power supply, it directly supplies power to the load through the boost circuit; once the power is cut off, the battery path is automatically selected to supply power to the load through the boost circuit; when power on again, it will be restored to supply power to the load and charge the battery via external 5V power source. The process of auto-activating and self-charging guarantees the normal operation of the load in a large extent.

The module is suitable for uninterruptible power supply solutions such as low-power DC equipment meters. After being fully charged, it can be used as a low-power mobile power supply or as a temporary emergency charger for lithium batteries.

**Note:**

1\. The product has protection mechanisms like overcharge, over discharge , current limit, over temperature, output short circuit. If it enters the protection state and does not output after a short-circuit by mistake, it can automatically activate and re-output when connected to 5V charging.

2\. There are MOS and other components on the board, which are easily damaged by the soldering iron induction or static electricity. Please ensure that the soldering iron used is grounded (and the ground wire is connected), and it is best to wear anti-static gloves during operation.

3\. If you want to supply 5V to the load when there is an external 5V power supply, and when there is no external power supply, directly supply 3.7V to the load by the lithium battery(no boost), you can connect the board output positive wire from the S pad of the SW pin to the load.

4\. It is required that the maximum power of the charging power supply used is at least 3W higher than the load’s power consumption, that is to say, the power source should have enough current to charge the battery while supplying power to the load.
