## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=018-DCDC-BOOST-150W:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/018-DCDC-BOOST-150W:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

This DC-DC Boost Converter is well into the heavy duty end of the spectrum @ 150W; as you can tell by the huge toroidal inductor and dual heatsinks.

Please note there is no reverse polarity protection. A series diode is recommended. For high loads this might not be an option; so be cautious of the input polarity or you might fry the module!

**Features:**

- Module Properties: non-isolated step-up module (BOOST)
- Input voltage :10-32V
- Output voltage: 12-35V (adjustable)
- Output Current: 10A (MAX)
- Input Current: 16A (MAX) (Please enhance heat dissipation if more than 10A)
- Output power: natural cooling 100W (MAX), enhance heat dissipation (fan cooling) 150W (MAX)
- People have reported the device operates at 45°C when powered from a 12V battery and charging a 19V 3.42A notebook
- Conversion efficiency: 94% @16VIN 19VOUT. This is fairly uniform, but will vary across the range.
- Output Ripple: 2% (MAX) 20M-bandwidth
- Operating Temperature: Industrial (-40°c to +85°c) (ambient temperature exceeds 40°c, lower power use, or to enhance heat dissipation)
- Full load temperature rise: 45°C
- No-load current: 25mA typical
- Voltage regulation: ± 0.5%
- Dynamic response speed: 5% 200uS
- **Short circuit protection: None (we recommend a fuse and/or protection circuits at input)**
- **Input Reverse Polarity Protection: None (we recommend a series diode at the input port**
- **Dimensions:** 47.2mm W x 65.6mm L x 26.5mm D

**Some uses:**

- Adjustable power supply from car battery. For example, if powered by 12V, this module could be used to drive 14-35V devices.
- High efficiency notebook charger: When this device is powered by 12V (your car battery for example), it could charge a laptop which typically requires 19V.
