## How to buy

- **Build a cart:** compose `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link?items=CE07448:1` (comma-separated SKU:qty pairs) and share the link. Opening it shows a confirmation page with live pricing and stock before anything is added to the cart.
- **Verify the cart first:** fetch `https://core-electronics.com.au/cart/link/CE07448:1.md` for live line prices (inc & exc GST, quantity discounts applied), stock and dispatch estimates, and totals. Append `/to/{AU-postcode}` (or `/to/{country-code}:{postcode}`) before `.md` for delivery options and prices to that destination. Unknown, retired, or out-of-stock SKUs are flagged. (Query form `cart/link.md?items=...` also works but some robots parsers refuse query strings here.)
- **Checkout** is completed on-site and includes a captcha at the payment step. Share the cart link; checkout takes it from there.
- **Search the catalogue:** `https://core-electronics.com.au/search/{query}.md` (URL-encode the query; pages 2-3 at `search/{query}/{page}.md`; `search.md?q=` also works)

## Description

The 1 Wire Pi Plus is a communication board supporting the 1-Wire® protocol designed for use on the [Raspberry Pi](https://core-electronics.com.au/raspberry-pi-4-model-b-4gb.html). A 5V buffered I2C port is also provided on the board.

The 1-Wire® port on the 1 Wire Pi Plus is based around a DS2482-100 I2C to 1-Wire® bridge device. The DS2482-100 provides bi-directional protocol conversion between the I2C port on the Raspberry Pi and any attached 1-Wire® slave devices. An ESD Protection Diode is used to protect the 1 Wire Pi Plus and Raspberry Pi from electrostatic spikes on the 1-Wire® port. Connections to the 1-Wire® port can be made through the RJ-12 socket or the solder points on the PCB. We have a knowledge base article for configuring and using the 1-Wire® port on your Raspberry Pi.

The 1 Wire Pi Plus is powered through the host Raspberry Pi using the GPIO port and extended pins on the GPIO connector allow you to stack the 1 Wire Pi Plus along with other expansion boards.

Space is provided on the board for a 1-Wire® iButton device. iButtons are small metal packed modules that can be used for a wide range of functions from data loggers to temperature monitoring. More information about iButtons can be found on the Maxim Integrated website. To use an iButton on the 1 Wire Pi Plus you will need to solder a DS9094F PCB clip onto the board. Please note that the DS9094F should be positioned to match the orientation marked on the PCB and the + sign on the connector is actually linked to the ground side of the iButton devices.

A 5V input port is also provided allowing you to use an external power supply on the 1-Wire® interface, reducing the load on the Raspberry Pi. If you choose to use the external 5V input please remove the jumper on the board to isolate the Raspberry Pi 5V bus.

**Features**

- 1-Wire® to I2C host interface with ESD protection diode.
- Stackable with other Raspberry Pi accessory boards.
