This connector is a single-row, 40-pin, straight male header strip that can be broken into smaller strips. Both sides of the strip are long, allowing for unique connections that cannot be made with standard male header strips. For example, this header can be used as a female-to-male adapter, and both sides are compatible with wire wrap.

## Description

These 0.1"/2.54mm-pitch header strips are commonly used as low-cost connectors. The standard spacing allows use with [solderless breadboards](https://core-electronics.com.au/prototyping/breadboards.html), perforated [prototyping PCBs](https://core-electronics.com.au/prototyping/proto-boards.html), [female headers](https://core-electronics.com.au/connectors-sockets/headers/female-straight.html), and Pololu's [premium](https://core-electronics.com.au/prototyping/prototyping-wire.html) and [pre-crimped jumper wires](https://core-electronics.com.au/wire/pre-crimped-terminals.html). The single-row header strips can easily be snapped into smaller strips to fit your application. The double- and triple-row strips can also be broken into smaller strips, but it takes a little more effort, and it is sometimes easier to use wire/diagonal cutters.
