Bought this to replace the one that I killed by accidentally applying reverse polarity power to the Arduino with which I was communicating. Arduino survived.

So take care! (Posted on 18/11/2016)

  2. Review by benster - Works once you know how to use it - could do with some insturctions

I had to trawl the net to figure this one out. My first time using one and I had hooked it up wrong and when I found out how to wire it properly, I still had to search further to work out why it wasn't working.

In the end, once you've got your TXC/RX the right way around all you have to do is hold the reset switch on an Arduino until the sketch says "uploading". Once you let the reset button go, it does the job and your all good.

There are mods that you can do to put a capacitor on the board of the module that will make this an automatic process. I don't have a problem with it when using a breadboard as it is though. (Posted on 13/05/2013)
