Punch in your secret key into this numeric membrane keypad. This keypad has 4 buttons, and since every key has its own wire line, no matrix code is required - just treat these like every day switches. The membrane is soft and has a removable paper backing to expose a strong adhesive so you can stick this on an enclosure and feed the cable through a slot. Its a simple keypad but that's why Adafruit like it.

Adafruit includes a 5-pin extra-long header strip so you can plug this into a breadboard with ease.

Works beautifully. Within 5 minutes I had it working on my Freetronics EtherTen module. Great value for money.

Only issue is there was no pin output information. Figured it out from a picture on the Adafruit website (which also had no information). The pins are from left to right with numbers aligned face up:

    1 - Ground
    2 - Button 2
    3 - Button 1
    4 - Button 4
    5 - Button 3

Hope that helps. (Posted on 4/07/2014)
