Introducing a low cost development board that is similar to the Arduino but utilises a PIC rather than Atmel micro. The Xino Pro supports a wide range of plug-in modules including Radio, Bluetooth, GPS serial, InfraRed and LIN.
To keep costs as low as possible, a serial programming interface (max232) is used instead of the more expensive FTDI chip. A programming cable consists of 2 connectors, some cable and a stereo jack. There is also a PICKit 2 arranged header for hardware programming. A FTDI/PICAXE style programming cable (AXE 027) could also be used.
The Xino Pro supports any compiler for the PIC. Whether it be BASIC, C, PASCAL, the choice is yours. The Xino Pro can be ordered with various bootloaders pre-installed, including:
- PICAXE 28x2
- 18F25K20 with Amicus bootloader
- 18F25K20 with ds30 bootloader
